Jihad understood

People today point fingers at Islam's laws of jihad saying Islam preaches terrorism. This is utter nonsense! Jihad is very far from terrorism. Terrorism is the unjust murder and frightening of innocent people. In an Islamic state,the punishment for terrorism is crucifixion. Jihad is an arabic terminology that means to stuggle and in islamic terminology it means struggling for the sake of Allah. Jihad is of four types against four different types of enemies. 1. The internal jihad against nafs (lower desires) and shaytaan. Ibn Qayyim said, 'the jihad of the nafs last till one dies,' some people quote the hadith, 'the jihad of the nafs is greater' but this hadith is a fabrication according to ibn hajar, ibn qayyim and many others and it is a major sin to quote it. 2. Jihad of the pen against nonmuslims and hypocrites. This is done by defending Islam tru writing (or tru wap ;)) from misconceptions and claims against Islam. 3. Jihad of the tongue against nonmuslims and hypocrites, to verbally speak out against them. Nabi SAW said, 'the most virtuous form of jihad is to speak the truth in the face of a tyrant ruler,' 4. Physical jihad, to go out and fight militariry against oppressors and those who wish to harm the Muslims or those living under muslim protection. This is the greatest form of jihad and it can never be confused with terrorism becoz it is only protecting the innocent from the forces of evil and fighting for justice! In Islam, war is never Holy. It is either just or oppressive, and jihad is a war for justice
