The Word 'Kaffir'

Nonmuslims seem to have confusion over the word kaffir and tend to get angry upon hearing this term. So some clarification is necesarry. Kafir (pl: kuffar) is an arabic word which means disbeliever i.e. Someone who doesnt believe that Islam is the true religion of God. Its that simple. Also its the word God uses in the Quran for disbelievers. So if you dont believe in Islam, you shouldnt get angry at being called a disbeliever (kaffir) in any language. If the word kaffir still hits your heart, then maybe its a sign from God that how can you disbelieve in the truth after it has reached you. So a kafir is not a racial nor a swear word, but arabic for disbeliever. The opposite of a kafir is a mumin i.e. A believer.
